While in Ethiopia i visited one of their holiest cities, Lalibela is located in northern Ethiopia. Lalibela's population consist mostly of "Ethiopian Orthodox Christian" and was intended to be a "New Jerusalem". In the late 12th century Lalibela was also known as Roha. Being one of the oldest independent countries in the world nearly 80% of ethiopians work in agriculture, "growing cash crops like coffee and gat, a drug that is legal in Ethiopia and surrounding countries." This ancient civilation adopted Christianity and has a population over 70 million. I chose to visit Ethiopia's largest city, Addis Ababa which is also the capital of Ethiopia. while visiting the climate was warm and mostly cloudy.
