Mexico

sunny

After visiting Japan, Mexico was my next destination. While in Mexico i visited a couple places that caught my attention which was the Sacred Cenote and the Temple of Thousand Warriors. The sacred Cenote is a natural formation, "a cave tunneled into the limestone by moving groundwater." The opening of the cave is estimated to be about 65 meters (in diameter). All though the Sacred Cenote is a famous location for tourists it once was sacrificial."Men, woman, and children were thrown alive into the cenote as a scarfice to the gods in time of droughts." The temple of Thousand Warriors, a 600 ft temple built atop a three tiered, stepped pyramid founded in 400 AD and is located north of Yucatan Peninsula (mexico).
